The Jack Zink High Adventure Base (or ZBase for short) is about 30 minutes outside of Tulsa right off of Skiatook Lake.
Our site is a secured location that is only accessible via private gate. Please look at the Zink Gate page for more information.
This site has everything we need to host an excellent weekend in the pretend apocalypse. You can look through this page to find out where everything is and the in-game purposes of the available spaces.
The Lodge
The Zink Lodge (or simply, The Lodge) is the first building you will visit when you come on site, and will likely be strongly featured during your event weekend.
A quick run down of what you will find at the lodge.
80+ interior bunks (upstairs, and downstairs)
OOC Check-In
The Pro-Shop / Public Works
High Society Social Area
The incredibly nice lounge. Functional fireplace, fancy couches, fancy tables. We are going to avoid fighting in here, but it will be in play and a great spot for role play.
Xoje will have Check-In and the Pro-Shop/Public Works set up in here.
Zarrow Complex
Operations and Quiet Space
The Zarrow Complex building has two entrances. The Education Center is where you will find our Operations/Monster Camp. This is where you show up for your NPC time.
The Administration area has a waiting room with chairs where people can relax out of character.
There is a fenced in area and this is not a place we will be entering during our events. The Scouts use it for storage. We can be around the fence, just not inside the fenced in area. We don’t have a key to get in, so that shouldn’t be too big of a deal.We will be able to decorate the fence with temporary props and things that can be removed between games.
Platform Tents (Artisan Area)
This area has a good amount of tree cover that encircles it. We will have several set up in advance for personal use, or for use as roleplay space. You can also find the Artisan area set up down here in one of the tents.
There are also shower stalls and toilets available nearby.
Camp Store (Agriculture Area)
The Camp Store is unavailable during our events. Normally, it is staffed by Scouting America folks during Scouting events. We are allowed to use the back porch. That is where we have our agricultural area set up.
Dining Hall, Morgue, Large Pavilion (Culinary Area)
Here you can find
The Dining Hall (Culinary Area)
Full Kitchen
The Morgue
Large Pavilion (used for some mods)
This is the parking lot. There is quite a bit of parking lot. There is a berm on the eastern side of the parking lot. Across the street from our site is an outdoor gun range. It is a well designed and set up gun range. However, the berm on the east side of the parking lot is an additional safety precaution just in case. You may hear gunfire while in this area (or on other parts ot the site) but as long as you stay on our side of the berm you will not need to worry about the gun range.
The Ampli-Theater
You can see the dining hall in the distance on the left side of the image. It’s not that far of a walk, and it may be a place where fights happen. No fighting on the stairs, though. If you’ve got something shambling towards you, let the threat put both feet on the level ground before you start fighting.
The Far Tents
Far in to the site, there is a less frequently used field with platforms for platform tents, as well as toilets and showers. This will sometimes be used for Away Mods and is referred to as the Far Tents.
The Pool Hall
This space has bathrooms, showers, and plenty of room for out of the way meetings.
