In order to run our events, we need written story modules. Those story modules come from writers that have been contracted to work with Dystopia Rising: Oklahoma on specific projects. When writers initially start working with us, they are provided with specific assignments that build on and expand existing story elements from the Dystopia Rising: Oklahoma canon. 

Anyone who is interested is welcome to apply to become a member of our writing team. Some of our writers contribute multiple stories each event, some only write when they feel the inspiration. Whatever your writing goals or availability, we would love to have the chance to work with you.

Requirements:

  • No current corrective actions

  • Working knowledge of Dystopia Rising

  • Familiarity with the Oklahoma setting

  • No formal writing background required

Expectations:

  • Provide written Story Modules for Dystopia Rising: Oklahoma events

  • Provide content in a timely manner

Compensation:

  • $3 per mod or $10 for 3 mods

How do I apply?

Since we are working with a lot of first time writers, we are asking that you provide a single example module that has not been previously submitted to any other Dystopia Rising events. In the event that it is accepted and published, you will be compensated at our standard rate, which is listed above.
